Monday Motivation

To fit in better with my work schedule, which usually finishes at 10:00pm, I’m trying hard to fit my eating into an earlier window. This way I’ll have an easy and long fasted state each day. At work, I take a little bag of carrots and sometimes a protein drink. By 6 or 7pm, I’m done eating.

This last week, I invented a new menu item (for me) that is working out well. For some reason I grabbed a big pack of goat cheese at Costco. In the past, I would have picked up some fancy crackers and oops, over-eaten. Instead, I am now having a goat burger. I pre-cook burgers most weeks, so adding an ounce of cheese on top to add some flavor, more protein, and additional fat that the Carnivore diet needs. Time to prepare: about 1 minute. Very convenient.

Here is the motivation part

As I was enjoying my coffee this morning, I was watching a little YouTube and stumbled across this video, which summarizes the Carnivore diet journey over a 3 year period. It is a bit long, but very motivating. It is very clear that over that timeframe, this person paid close attention to his body and continuously educated himself along the way. Part of his daily pattern is going on a walk. And sometimes even rucking. Seeing his results was just the little push I needed to get off the couch and head out for a walk, too.

Why the angry faces? Well, it is 29 degrees, windy, with snow flurries. As always, colder into the wind and then not really a factor once warmed up from the movement.
