Montana in the Summer

April 12, 2020 by David Snodgrass

It appears that mid-April is still Winter in much of Montana. One way to fix that is to flashback a couple years to an early August morning. Crisp and cool on the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. Absolutely perfect weather. I highly recommend getting an early start, regardless of the direction you want to travel on GTTSR.

By mid-morning, many of the sidings are full of cars and the parking lot at Logan’s Pass may look like a mall parking lot during the Christmas season. Obviously, it is still a worthy destination. And at least for me, the tunnels are the perfect place to let your inner size year old have a go at the horn. Beep beep!
