Post Carnivore Chores
While at Costco yesterday, I noticed that they now sell a 2-pack of “real beef tallow”. I’m not sure where this fits in with a Carnivore lifestyle. I had a pileup at the sink yesterday from cooking a few meals, and all 3 left behind more meat fats than you’d ever want to put down the drain. I scrape mine into a jar that lives in the freezer. I assume the store bought fats are screened for solids and purified in some way that my pans don’t do. Never once have I had a need or desire to try and cook with it. Maybe there are recipes or cooking styles that use a bunch of raw fat? Deep frying?
If I ever time-travel back 100 years, maybe I’ll look into it.
